These are the best earbuds I have ever owned. I love music and good sound is important to me. I have been using these for several months now, and they are performing very well. Sound quality is great. I am using the Bose app on an Android phone, and I just bumped the bass up a bit in the app’s equalizer and the sound is perfect. When I first got them, I spent a few hours just listening to my playlist and being impressed at how good they sound. The spacial depth and directional accuracy of individual instruments and voice tracks in Immersion mode is amazing.These earbuds also have great noise cancellation. When I come home from running, I have to remember to switch to „Aware“ mode to avoid frustrating situations where my wife is trying to tell me something and I can’t hear what she is saying…even if she’s shouting. Today I power-washed the back patio. The power washer makes a pretty loud buzzing sound, but in immersion mode, I could hardly hear it. They are also effective at cutting jet engine noise while flying.It’s important to get a good stable fit to get the best sound, avoid/reduce wind noise if you use them outside, and to get optimal noise cancellation. I cannot tolerate earbuds that plug into my ear canal – they give me an ear ache. These have a cone that sits on the outside of the ear canal and are comfortable for me to wear for hours at a time. They ship with three sizes of tips, and three sizes of ear adapters. Between the combination of these, I think most people can achieve a good fit for both performance and comfort. But I learned that, if you find you can’t get a good fit because of the shape of your ear, Bose will ship you another set of adapters and cones, one size smaller and one size larger than the standard three sizes that ship in the package.I really like the buttonless controls on these earbuds. One touch on the body pauses whatever you are listening to. Keep your finger on longer to change modes between „Quiet“, „Aware“ and „Immersion“. Two taps to fast forward. I can control them while running. They also automatically pause your music when you remove one out of your ear. Very nice! These are expensive, but you get what you pay for.
